- Revanth Reddy reacts to KCR leaving Assembly
- BAC meeting to decide Assembly working days
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said he does not know why former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition KCR left the Assembly shortly after arriving. He stated that questions on KCR’s decision should be directed to KCR himself. The Chief Minister made these remarks while speaking to media representatives in the Assembly lobby on Monday.
Journalists asked Revanth Reddy about KCR’s sudden departure from the Assembly. They also asked what the Chief Minister had spoken to KCR during their brief interaction. Responding to these questions, Revanth Reddy said, “KCR, why am I telling you what I have said?” The Chief Minister then repeated that reporters should ask KCR directly about his decision.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy suggested that KCR alone could explain why he left the Assembly within just five minutes of his arrival. He made it clear that he had no information on the reason behind the former Chief Minister’s quick exit. Therefore, he maintained that speculation should be avoided and questions should be addressed to the concerned leader.
Later, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met ministers and government whips in his chamber inside the Assembly. The meeting focused on discussions related to Assembly proceedings. Officials said the Chief Minister will issue directions to leaders regarding their strategy in the House. However, no further details were shared with the media at that stage.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that a Business Advisory Committee meeting will be held shortly. The BAC meeting will decide the working days of the Assembly. The Chief Minister’s interaction with ministers and whips comes ahead of this important meeting. Therefore, the focus has shifted to planning and coordination for the ongoing Assembly sessions.
The developments took place amid heightened political attention following KCR’s brief appearance and exit from the Assembly. Revanth Reddy’s remarks clarified the government’s position on the issue. He avoided making any assumptions and stuck to the facts presented before the media.
The Assembly proceedings are expected to continue as scheduled. Officials said further clarity on the working days will emerge after the BAC meeting concludes. Until then, the government’s focus remains on legislative business and smooth conduct of the sessions.
