Delhi/Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): The names of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Congress leader Pawan bansal and the late leader Ahmed Patel have come to the fore in the National Herald case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had mentioned their names in the chargesheet submitted to the court last month. However, they were not included as accused. It is known that top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and five others were included as accused.
The ED is alleging a conspiracy to illegally dispose of assets worth Rs. 2,000 crore belonging to Associated Journals Limited (AJL). It is said that the Young India organization was established with the intention of disposing of the assets. Several Congress leaders and others contributed money to set up this organization between 2019-22.
The ED has stated in the chargesheet that the current Telangana CM (then Telangana PCC President) Revanth Reddy, Pawan bansal and Ahmed Patel lured them with positions and benefits in return.
It has been clarified that this matter was confirmed only after examining the witnesses. Revanth Reddy and Pawan Bansal have not yet responded to the ED’s allegations.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Arvind Vishwanath Singh Chauhan admitted in the ED investigation that he donated Rs. 30 lakhs for the establishment of the Young India organization. He said that this money was given only on the instructions of Ahmed Patel.
It is known that the ED had previously issued notices to former minister and present MLA Sudarshan Reddy, Government advisor Shabbir Ali, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, former minister Geetha Reddy and Gal;i Anil Kumar and interrogated them. (Maxim News)
