Hyderabad, June 28: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched major Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) road development projects in Nalgonda district on Sunday, marking a significant infrastructure push across Telangana. The projects involve road construction works worth Rs 13,006 crore.
The Chief Minister unveiled the project pylon at the Kanagal AMC Market Yard during his district visit. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Adluri Laxman Kumar, public representatives and senior officials attended the programme.
HAM Road Projects Aim to Improve State Connectivity
Under the Hybrid Annuity Mode, the government plans to develop 441 roads covering 6,092 kilometres in 34 project packages across Telangana.
The government expects the project to strengthen road connectivity and improve transport infrastructure across both rural and urban regions. Officials believe improved road networks will support economic growth and facilitate faster movement of people and goods.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Phase One of a drinking water scheme within Nalgonda Municipal Corporation. The project will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 83 crore.
The programme was held at the Government Degree College grounds in Nalgonda. The government said road expansion and drinking water infrastructure remain among its major development priorities.
The latest announcements are part of Telangana’s broader infrastructure development plan focused on improving public services and regional connectivity.
