Hyderabad, July 7: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to prepare a roadmap for digital governance to improve transparency, strengthen public service delivery, and streamline employee management across government departments.
During a review meeting at the Secretariat on issues related to contract and outsourcing employees, the Chief Minister asked officials to frame the required laws and plans to implement digital governance across the administrative system.
He said a fully digital system would help deliver government services more efficiently and ensure welfare benefits reach eligible beneficiaries without delays.
Revanth Reddy also instructed officials to digitize salary records and bank account details of government, contract, and outsourcing employees. He said the move would help ensure salaries are credited on the first day of every month.
The Chief Minister announced that the government will constitute a committee to prepare a comprehensive digital governance framework. He directed officials to submit a detailed report to the committee within 100 days for further action.
He also warned that strict action would be taken against contract and outsourcing agencies that fail to pay employees on time despite receiving payments from the government.
