CM Revanth’s Plan To Make Telangana A World Leader In Sports: Notification May Fill 3,000 Physical Teacher Vacancies

Hyderabad, Oct 11 (Maxim News) CM Revanth Reddy is preparing plans to make Telangana a world leader in sports. As part of this, efforts are being made to fill the posts of more than three thousand physical education teachers who have been vacant for many years in government schools, junior, degree and university colleges in the state. To this end, he has directed the officials to identify the vacancies and issue a notification within two weeks so that the teachers can join duty by the next academic year.

It has been decided to set up a Young India Sports University in the newly established Bharat Future City. In addition, it has been decided to take special steps to expand the sports sector at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli. It is known that we have already written a letter to the Central Government and met the Sports Minister to say that whatever sports are held in the country, they should be held in Hyderabad, and that arrangements have been made in our state for this. Accordingly, it has been decided to allocate ample funds for sports in the upcoming budget for the sports sector. Accordingly, it has been decided to make a provision that all schools should have physical education teachers.

There are more than 2500 physical education teachers in 4641 schools in the state. With this, it has been decided to create 1803 new physical education teacher posts in government schools and fill them quickly. It is learnt that the Education Department, which has prepared an action plan to fill these vacancies through TGPSC, has sent it to the Finance Department for approval. The concerned officials say that it is likely to be discussed and a decision will be taken in the cabinet soon.

The government has set a target to fill the vacant posts of physical education teachers and physical directors in schools as well as junior, degree and universities. The Education Secretary has already written letters to the directors of the respective universities and colleges to provide details of the vacancies. The government has identified that there are a total of more than 3,000 vacant posts of physical education teachers in government schools, junior, degree and universities in the state. They will be filled and orders will be issued to give priority to sports two days a week from next year. If necessary, changes are being made in the annual examinations and some marks are also being given in the examinations.

Apart from sports training, the officials are also focusing on strengthening the administrative system in the newly established schools in the state. As part of this, it has been proposed to fill 261 additional headmaster posts. As soon as the government approves these proposals, the officials are preparing to fill the PET and headmaster posts through the upcoming DSC (Direct Recruitment of School Assistants/Teachers) advertisement.

These steps taken by the authorities in accordance with the Chief Minister’s orders will help all students get encouragement in sports as well as education. In particular, the appointment of these 1,803 PETs will play a key role in promoting physical and mental health among students and bringing out their sports skills. Educationists are of the opinion that if these posts are filled through TGPSC, the standards of sports in government schools will improve significantly. (Maxim News)
