Coming Days To Be The Most Fruitful For Old City People: Akbaruddin Owaisi

Hyderabad, Feb 8 (Maxim News): AIMIM Floor Leader in Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi has claimed that under Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule of eight and half years, much has been done for the development and welfare of old city people and minorities, though the BJP government at the Center not releasing the required funds to Telangana and restricting the state of taking loan under Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM).

He said that he met for over 6 hours, yesterday, with the BRS Working President, son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT, and Industries and held a fruitful discussion on the problems being faced by the Old City people and the Minorities such as metro rail, reconstruction of Osmania General Hospital, repairs of renovation of Unani Hospital, construction of Anees Ul Gurba, construction of Islamic Center near Gandipet for which 10 acres of precious lands have been allotted, Reimbursement of Tuition Fee and scholarship, clearing of pending applications for overseas Scholarship, increasing the funds to Minorities Finance Corporation for clearing over 2 lakh applications for financial assistance by increasing minimum by Rs. 200 crores, the establishment of skill development center and study circles for the Minorities, development in old, such as road widening, completion of Charminar Pedestrianisation, development of Laad Bazar etc. all these issues has been discussed and added that Tarak Rama Rao has given the positive response.

Participating in the Discussion on the Budget, today, Akbaruddin Owaisi alleged that the Central government led by BJP is not releasing the funds because of the step-motherly attitude towards non-BJP ruling states, because of this the Central grants to Telangana are less than half comparing to Andhra Pradesh state, the funds and promise which was supposed to get under AP Reorganisation Act, the Telangana did not get its share. he said in spite of these odds created by the BJP government at the Center, the Telangana state has developed the GSDP, and Per Capita Income is much more than the National level.

He also thanks Finance Minister T. Harish Rao has taken many efforts in presenting the mega budget of over Rs. 2.90 lakh crore for the year 2023-24 in which for the Minorities Welfare and Development, the funds earmarked is Rs. 2,200 crores, however, he said, the funds for the 4th quarter of 2022-23 have not been released so far, if it released and pending Tuition fee and Scholarships and earmarking additional Rs. 200 crores for Minority Finance Corporation for clearing over 2 lakh applications for financial assistance and starting the pre-matric scholarship scheme by the state will help much to the Minorities, he said.
