Command Control Center In RTA: Now Tracking Public Transport Vehicles Is Easy!
Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): To keep abreast of the movements of various vehicles that are part of public transport, a command control center will be set up in the RTA on the lines of the police command control. Officials have prepared the ground for the establishment of this center in the Transport Commissioner’s office in Khairatabad.
It was previously proposed to set up a strong surveillance system keeping in mind the safety of women passengers. With this, the transport department has focused on the establishment of the command control center and its consequences.

Along with RTC buses, vehicles of all categories like private buses, vans, cabs, maxi cabs, minibuses, etc. will be brought under the surveillance of RTA. Officials say that this center will work to easily track every public transport vehicle registered with the transport department.
However, a senior official said that plans and orders are being prepared to make it mandatory to install GPS tracking devices in vehicles at the time of manufacturing. Vehicles belonging to some categories already have these GPS tracking devices. The official said that discussions are underway on the issue of installing a tracking system for old vehicles as well, and a decision will be taken on the feasibility of this issue under the leadership of the Transport Minister and in collaboration with senior officials.
