Commercial LPG Cylinder | Hyderabad: Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased sharply from October 1, adding to the financial burden on hotels, restaurants and other businesses during the festive season.
Oil marketing companies have raised the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹62.50 in Delhi. The new price in the national capital is now ₹2,810. Prices have also increased in other major cities.
The latest revision comes at a time when demand for food and catering services is expected to rise during the festive season. Higher cooking gas costs could add to operating expenses for restaurants, hotels, sweet shops and other commercial establishments.
Commercial LPG Prices Rise Across Major Cities
According to the latest price revision, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹2,810 in Delhi, ₹2,764.50 in Mumbai and ₹2,983 in Chennai.
In Patna, the price has reached ₹3,100.50. The increase varies across cities because LPG prices differ based on local market conditions and taxes.
The commercial cylinder had already become more expensive in September. In Delhi, its price stood at ₹2,747.50 at the end of September before the latest ₹62.50 increase.
The latest hike could put additional pressure on businesses that rely heavily on commercial LPG for cooking. Restaurants and food businesses may face higher operating costs during October, which includes major festivals such as Dussehra and Diwali.
Domestic LPG Prices Unchanged
There is no change in the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. Household consumers will continue to pay the existing rates.
In Hyderabad, the domestic LPG cylinder remains priced at ₹994. Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai prices remain at ₹942, ₹941.50 and ₹957.50 respectively.
The latest revision therefore affects commercial LPG users, while domestic consumers have received no change in their cylinder prices this month.
