Hyderabad, July 1: Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders across the country, providing relief to businesses and commercial gas users. The revised prices came into effect from July 1 and mark the first reduction in commercial cylinder rates this year.
In Delhi, the commercial LPG cylinder price reduced by Rs. 183.50, bringing the rate down from Rs. 3,113.50 to Rs. 2,930. Similarly, Kolkata recorded a reduction of Rs. 174 and the new price stands at Rs. 3,081.50.
Chandigarh saw a cut of Rs. 181.50, reducing the price to Rs. 2,954.50. In Patna, the rate dropped by Rs. 173 to Rs. 3,227. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, the price declined by Rs. 176 and the new commercial cylinder price is Rs. 3,191.
Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Reduced Due to Global Oil Trends
Industry sources indicated that lower international crude oil prices contributed to the reduction. In addition, easing pressure on shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz supported the decline in energy costs.
The reduction also follows improved stability in West Asia after reports of an extended ceasefire period between the United States and Iran.
However, domestic LPG consumers did not receive any price relief. Oil companies kept the prices of 14.2 kg household LPG cylinders unchanged.
Current domestic LPG prices remain at Rs. 942 in Delhi, Rs. 968 in Kolkata, Rs. 941.50 in Mumbai, Rs. 957.50 in Chennai, and Rs. 994 in Hyderabad.
The Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Reduced decision is expected to lower operational costs for restaurants, hotels, and small commercial establishments.
