Conditional bail to Raja Singh

Hyderabad, Nov 9: Bail was finally granted to BJP MLA Raja Singh. The High Court granted him conditional bail. Raja Singh was suspended from the party on September 2 on charges of making controversial remarks. Three days after this development (September 5), the police applied the PD Act against him. He was taken to Charlapally Jail. Since then, Raja Singh has been in jail for almost two months.

To lift the suspension against him, the second cadre of BJP and Hindutva affiliates organized protests across the state. Finally, even when BJP national leaders and Union Ministers visited the state, Raja Singh’s fans, BJP activists and many Hindu groups protested in front of them. With Raja Singh being suspended by the BJP, people, Hindutva and party cadres felt that wrong signals were sent.

It seems that the BJP high command will announce its decision on lifting the suspension imposed on Raja Singh in the next two or three days. Less than two days ago, Raja Singh’s wife Usha Bai came to the BJP state office and discussed the matter with party president Bandi Sanjay. While BJP gave a show cause notice on the suspension, Raja Singh has already written a letter explaining this. Party sources say that the disciplinary committee has expressed satisfaction over this.

While justifying his comments on comedian Munawar Farooqui, Raja Singh stated in his explanation to the disciplinary committee that he did not make any controversial comments on Prophet Mohammad, and that MIM and TRS conspiracies had made false charges against him because he was fighting for the protection of Hindu dharma. State party president Bandi Sanjay was also very positive about Raja Singh from the beginning. Along with this, they also provided legal assistance to get Raja Singh out of jail. It is known that BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao and former MLC Ramchander Rao tried their best to get Raja Singh out of the PD Act.
