Moinabad drug party raid | Hyderabad, March 15: A Firing incident sparked alarm during a suspected drug party at a farmhouse in Moinabad. Police acted after getting a tip off about drug use. So special teams rushed to the location.
Officers said the farmhouse is linked to a former MLA. They found a private gathering in progress. They also saw signs of drug consumption. Therefore, they detained eight persons at the scene.
Police said some youths fired shots during the party. This caused panic among those present. So officers seized a revolver from the spot. They also recovered suspected cocaine. In addition, they collected other material as evidence.
The Eagle team first reached the farmhouse. They acted on prior intelligence. However, some party members tried to block them. They also created a disturbance. So police called SOT teams for support.
Later, SOT police joined the raid. Together, they brought the situation under control. After that, they shifted the detained persons for questioning. Therefore, the investigation gained pace.
Police suspect some VIP guests attended the event. They are checking possible political links. Reports suggest a public representative may be among those present. However, police have not confirmed identities. So verification is still in progress.
Officials said forensic teams will test the seized drugs. They will also examine the weapon. Moreover, they plan to review mobile data. So more details may come out soon.
Police warned against drug abuse. They said such parties will face strict action. They also asked citizens to share information. Therefore, they stressed strong enforcement.
