Hyderabad, Nov.2 (Maxim News): Gandhi School of Humanities and Social Sciences (GSHS) of GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad will organize a two-day National Conference on ‘Changing Dimensions of the Media: Psychosocial, Cultural and Political Correlates’ on its campus from January 24 to 25, Prof. Y. Prabhavati, in-charge Principal, GSHS said today.
The conference aims to highlight the changing dimensions of the media with focus on its psychosocial, cultural, and political correlates in the national and international contexts. The objective of the conference is to create a platform for academicians, research scholars and students to share their views on various aspects of media and its correlates. The Sub Themes are Social Media: Reshaping the ‘Self’ and ‘Identity’; Politics and Media: Revisiting Ethical Standards; Gender and Media: Changing Perceptions; Human Rights and Media: Resilience and Support Systems; Media and Society: ‘Image’ as a Social Construct; Media and Culture: Reflecting Psychosocial Issues and Media and Education: Pathways to Parenting and Teaching.
Papers are invited in English, Hindi and Telugu. Selected papers will be published in a book with ISBN. The last date to submit the abstracts is December 20, 2018 and full papers on January 2, 2019.
