Cong, BJP politicising Gouravelli reservoir issue: Vinod
Hyderabad, June 16 (Maxim News): Telangana State Planning Board Vice-chairman Boinapalli Vinod Kumar lashed out at both Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party for politicising the issue of Gouravelli reservoir oustees and alleged that they were obstructing the development of Telangana State.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating a Rythu Vedika building at Sriramulapalli village of Koheda mandal in Siddipet district on Thursday, Vinod Kumar said when the Congress government was in power, the Gouravelli reservoir had been designed for the capacity of one TMC of water. After the formation of Telangana State, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given importance to the irrigation sector and the capacity of Gouravelli reservoir had been increased by 8.23 TMCs, Vinod Kumar said.
He alleged that opposition parties in Telangana failed to work a constructive role and they were trying to politicise every issue in a bid to malign the image of the TRS government.
“KCR is a visionary leader and all welfare schemes being implemented in the State are designed for the wellbeing of future generation,” Vinod Kumar added. (Maxim News)
