Congress 3-day brainstorming on Lok Sabha polls from today: Uttam

  • TPCC Election Committee will shortlist candidates on Feb 17

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday informed that the Congress party would conduct brainstorming sessions for three-days to discuss the strategy and evolve an action plan for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Uttam Kumar Reddy, in a media statement, said that the Parliamentary constituency-wise preparatory meetings would be held from 15th to 17th February at a private hotel in Gachibowli. Present and former MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ZP Chairpersons, ZPTCs, MPPs, contested MLA candidates, PCC office bearers, PCC Members, DCC Presidents, Block and Mandal Presidents will attend the closed-door meetings of their respective Lok Sabha constituencies. On an average, there will be representation of at least 10 top leaders from each Assembly constituency in the meeting.

There will be discussion on six Parliamentary constituencies each day on 15th and 16th February while strategy for remaining five constituencies will be chalked out on 17th February. Accordingly, on February 15, a meeting will be held with leaders from Adilabad, Peddapalli, Nizamabad, Zaheerabad, Karimnagar and Warangal Lok Sabha constituencies. Similarly, on February 16, the TPCC will discuss strategy for Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda and Bhongir. On the last day, on February 17, the Congress leaders will have brainstorming sessions on Chevella, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Medak constituencies.

“Each day, we will have six-hour long sessions wherein strategy and action plan for each Lok Sabha constituency will be discussed. The idea behind holding these brainstorming sessions is to involve more number of leaders in preparing an effective strategy to face and win next Lok Sabha elections,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also informed that a meeting of TPCC Coordination Committee would be held on February 16 to discuss alliances. On February 17th, the TPCC Election Committee will meet to shortlist the candidates for Lok Sabha elections, he said.

AICC Incharge Telangana R.C. Khuntia, AICC Secretaries Bose Raju, Salim Ahmed, Srinivasan Krishnan and other top leaders of Telangana will be present in the meetings. (Maxim News)
