Congress Leaders Meet Guv, Allege Failures Of Both TRS, BJP Govts

Hyderabad, Nov.8 (Maxim News): A delegation of Congress leaders here on Friday called on Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan and submitted a representation to her highlighting the failures of the State and Central governments.

State party in-charge Kuntia, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former minister K Jana Reddy, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and others met the Governor and submitted a memorandum. Speaking on the occasion, Kuntia alleged that the country was on the verge of economic collapse. He alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was privatizing all the organizations established by first Prime Minister lat e Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

He also alleged that the BJP had not implemented even a single promise made to the people after coming to power for the second consecutive term. Kuntia said the demonetization decision of the Centre had led to the present economic crisis in the country. Stating that the BJP was leaving no stone unturned to privatize its own organizations like Air India and BSNL, he said the saffron party was opposing privatisation of the TSRTC . CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were causing a lot of damage to the country. He said that the country had lost jobs and added that the GDP had dropped below 3%.

Commenting on the economic condition of the State, he alleged that the economic condition of the State was also in doldrums. He alleged that the State government had borrowed several crores of rupees, but misleading the people on its borrowings. He said they requested the Governor to take steps to prevent privatization of the RTC corporation. He also alleged that the State government was carrying out illegal arrests of Congress leaders and workers in the State.

Earlier, the Congress leaders tried to take out a rally from Gandhi Bhavan to Raj Bhawan. However, the police obstructed the rally at its starting point and took important leaders into custody. The police also dispersed the Congress workers to prevent the rally resulting in violent scenes at the party headquarters for sometime. The party workers and leaders raised slogans against the State and Central governments on the occasion.

Later, the police allowed 11 leaders of the party to meet the Governor to submit their representation. (Maxim News)
