Congress Men Stage Protest Against CAA At Tank Bund

Hyderabad, Dec.22 (Maxim News): The Congress party today held a protest against the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Bill at the BR Ambedkar statue on tank bund. TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, senior party leader J. Geeta Reddy and some Minority community leaders of the party took part in the agitation.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the TPCC president said the BJP government at the Centre was destroying the country’s Constitution with tinkering laws. He said the controversial CAA was against the Constitution. He demanded that the State and Union governments withdraw police forces deployed in the universities in the State and the country.

Slamming police for their hostile behaviour towards the agitators, he made it clear that the Congress was not against anybody. He also said they would take out a Flag March from Gandhi Bhavan to the Ambedkar statue on December 28. He said they have already sought permission from the police authorities for the program.
