Congress MP Chamala’s Morphing Video Goes Viral: FIR Registered
Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News): The Congress government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has taken a sensational decision regarding the false propaganda being spread on social media targeting the government and its leaders. The Telangana Pradesh Congress has filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Police on two issues.
One concerns fake videos going viral about the government’s rice subsidy scheme, and the other concerns a video morphed to discredit Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The police have registered cases and are investigating.
To this extent, a complaint has been filed with the Cyber Crime Police against TPCC Media Coordinator K. Srikanth Yadav. It has been found that he has created fake content and videos on social media and misled the government.
Bhuvanagiri Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy. A video is going viral in which he has made derogatory comments about CM Revanth. It is noteworthy that the video was morphed into a severe criticism of the CM, and it was posted on a popular social media platform.
Police said that on April 17, several people were booked under sections 353(2) (public statements leading to public mischief), 352 (intentional insult intended to cause breach of peace), and 336 (4) (forgery intended to injure reputation) of the IPC. Another complaint was filed by TPCC social media state secretary Kailash Sajjan.
The police were provided with a video shared by the handle @Sarmadevi 28. In it, the government was promoting the distribution of plastic rice under the Fine Rice Scheme. A person was seen cooking the rice on a stove to show that it was fake.
The video and caption are completely fabricated. Sajjan was furious that this was being done to mislead people and create fear. A case was registered on April 16 under sections 353(2), 352 of the IPC. Cybercrime ACP RG Shiva Maruti said that an investigation is underway to identify the accused. (Maxim News)
