Court Denies Bail To Kavitha In The Liquor Scam Case

Delhi/Hyderabad, May 6 (Maxim News): Former Chief Minister and BRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao daughter and BRS MLC K.Kavitha involved in Delhi Liquor Scam case has come to the fore again. Rouse Avenue Court refused to grant her bail. Presently Kavitha is in Tihar Jail has filed separate bail petitions in ED and CBI cases. She mentioned that she had to participate in the campaign as a star campaigner in the wake of the elections. As a woman, she is eligible for bail under Section 45 of PMLA. The court which recently conducted an inquiry into this, today issued an order rejecting Kavitha’s petition.

Recently during the trial, along with Kavitha, lawyers for ED and CBi heard their arguments. Her lawyer argued that Kavitha was arrested without any evidence. It was brought to the attention of the court that the CBI had arrested her while she was in ED custody. He said that Kavitha is a star campaigner for BRS. The lawyer on behalf of CBI and ED asked the court not to grant her bail. Kavitha will be able to influence the investigation.

It was brought to the attention of the Court that she is the key person in this case. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the judge today issued an order denying bail to Kavitha. (Maxim News)
