COVID-19: Telangana Records 993 Cases, 4 Deaths

Telangana recorded 993 new coronavirus cases and 4 deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday taking the total number of cases to 2,66,042 while the death toll touched 1,441. Meanwhile, the recoveries went up to 2,53,715 with 1,150 persons recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 10,886 cases out of which 8,594 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Monday and Tuesday, around 47,593 tests were conducted including 20,940 on primary contacts and 5,711 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 993 samples came positive and the reports of 695 are awaited.

The positive cases reported include from 161 from GHMC, 93 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 67 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 62 from Rangareddy, 57 from Khammam, 46 from Karimnagar, 45 from Nalgonda, 39 each from Warangal Urban and Jagtial, 34 from Sangareddy, 31 from Mahabubabad, 28 from Mancherial, 27 from Medak, 25 each from Rajanna Sircilla and Mulugu, 23 from Kamareddy, 21 from Peddapalli, 17 from Siddipet, 15 from Mahabubnagar, 14 each from Nagarkurnool and Yadadri Bhongir, 13 from Warangal Rural, 12 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 10 from Vikarabad, 9 from Wanaparthy, 8 each from Nirmal and Jangaon, 5 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 2 each from Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad and zero cases from Narayanpet.
