COVID-19: Telangana Reocrds 2,239 Cases, 9 Deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana records 2,239 new Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths on Friday, pushing the overall toll to 1091 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,83,866. As on Friday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS were 30,334.

A total of 2,281 persons have recovered on Friday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,52,441 with a recovery rate of 82.90 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 81.98 per cent.

Between Thursday and Friday, 58,925 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 882 samples were awaited. Cumulatively, so far 28,00,761 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the Telangana State out of which 1,83,866 have tested positive and 1,52,441 persons have recovered.

Out of out 30,334 active cases, as many as 24,683 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 5,651 positive cases are in institutional care.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 27 from Adilabad, 91 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 316 from areas under GHMC, 54 from Jagtiyal, 35 each from Jangaon, 29 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Gadwal, 60 from Kamareddy, 106 from Karimnagar, 73 from Khammam, 12 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 34 from Mahabubnagar, 57 from Mahabubabad, 31 each from Mancherial and Medak, 164 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 33 Mulugu, 43 from Nagarkurnool, 141 from Nalgonda, 34 from Narayanpet, 31 from Nirmal, 69 from Nizamabad, 32 from Peddapally, 57 from Siricilla, 192 from Rangareddy, 66 from Sangareddy, 79 each from Siddipet, 63 from Suryapet, 29 from Vikarabad, 35 from Wanaparthy, 37 from Warangal Rural, 91 from Warangal Urban and 58 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
