Hyderabad, May 3 (Maxim News): Keeping in mind the safety of motorists travelling on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) , Hyderabad CP VC Sajjanar has made an important note. He has made several suggestions to prevent accidents that have been happening recently due to speeding vehicles hitting parked vehicles from behind. Sajjanar has issued a statement to this effect.
CP Sajjanar warned that unless there are strong reasons like vehicle breakdown or medical emergency, parking vehicles on the side of the road to take selfies or rest is a crime and extremely dangerous. If your vehicle breaks down, you should immediately call 14449. They will not only provide you with appropriate assistance, but will also make arrangements to alert other motorists.
CP Sajjanar suggested that if a vehicle has to be stopped in an emergency, it should be parked only in the left lane so as not to obstruct the fast-moving traffic. He said that when a vehicle is stopped, ‘reflective triangles’ or other warning signs should be installed so that those coming from behind can see it from a distance of at least 50 to 100 meters. He said that the severity of the accident can be reduced by keeping the hazard lights (four indicators) on as long as the vehicle is stopped. In the wake of the increase in the speed limit of vehicles on the ORR to 120 kilometers per hour, he said that even a small mistake can lead to huge loss of life. CP Sajjanar suggested that you should follow these rules and save your life and the lives of others. (Maxim News)
