Hyderabad, June 14 (Maxim News): The CPI activists of CPI on Friday held a half naked protest condemning the undemocratic attitude of the Telangana State government in encouraging defections of popularly elected MLAs. CPI national secretary K. Narayana and former Rajya Sabha MP Aziz Pasha also took part in the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, Narayana demanded that the State government immediately stop wooing MLAs from the other parties in the state. Targeting the defected MLAs, Narayana accused the defected MLAs of cheating the people of their respective constituencies in a “shameless” manner. He also said that those who “sold” their constituencies’ people would not hesitate to sell their own family members as well.
Referring to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CPI leader said CM KCR should learn a lot from YS Jagan, who was younger to him. He observed that the people of the State would spontaneously act against the government in the absence of the Opposition parties.
Meanwhile, the local police arrested the CPI leaders when they were trying to go towards Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund. They were whisked away to different police stations in the city. (Maxim News)
