Cyber Crime Police Arrested Two Who Provide Bank Account To Fraudster

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police arrested two accused persons by names1) Guddingari Venkatesh, age 23 Years, R/o. Begumpet, Hyderabad 2) Moluguri Vijay, Age: 36 yrs, R/o Old Safilguda, Malkajgiri Dist, who provides bank accounts to cyber fraudsters to cheat innocent people.

The team headed by Inspector of Police S. Naresh along with team  A.Shailendra, S.I. and PCs  Raghu, Gajeshwar, of PS Cyber Crime under the direct supervision of  A.V.Ranganath, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT, Hyderabad and D.Kavitha, DCP, Cyber Crimes, Hyderabad and R.G Siva Maruthi, ACP, Cyber Crime PS, Hyderabad has cracked the said case.

Complaint received from victim R/o Old Bowenpally, Hyderabad stating that the Cyber fraudsters contacted him through whatsapp & Telegram applications and cheated him by assigning tasks to give rating and comments in google maps and lured an amount of Rs. 7, 15,000/- and made him to transfer the money in to the bank accounts provided by them. In this regard the Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad registered a case in Cr.No. 37/2024, U/s 66(C),(D) IT Act & Sec 419,420 IPC and investigated.

The accused Guddingari Venkatesh and Moluguri Vijay colluded with Cyber fraudsters and cheated the innocent people by assigning tasks to rating and comments in google maps to get commission. Initially the cyber fraudsters used to give smaller amounts as commission to make them believe. Then, they insisted the victims invest huge amounts, then they stopped responding to them. For committing these cyber frauds, the accused provided bank accounts to the cyber fraudsters to cheat the innocent people. Similarly, all the accused committed fraud about Rs. 3 Crores, for which as many as 104 cases were registered in all over India, of which 13 Cases were registered in Telangana State. (Maxim News)
