Cyclone Nivar: Agriculture Hit In AP Due To Rains

By the influence of Nivar cyclone on the second day also, normal life in Chittoor district was paralysed. Cyclones have severely disrupted the agriculture and power sectors. Thousands of acres of paddy fields were inundated by the flood water in 30 mandals. Farmers are worried about their agriculture investments losses.

Public transport and Power supply were disrupted by the heavy to heavy rains. Between Kadapa and Chittoor Districts, vehicle movement was stopped from Thursday morning because at many places flood water flowed across the National Highway. A landslide incident was reported on Tirumala second ghat road in the morning while few devotees were travelling in bolero jeep.

Came to know that landslides had fallen on the vehicle after the incident victims brought this issue to the notice of TTD Vigilance sleuths for rescue.
