Democracy Survives Only When Right To Vote Is Exercised: Vikas Raj

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (Maxim News): Telangana State Chief Electoral officer Vikas Raj said that “Democracy survives only when the right to vote is exercised.

On the occasion of the 13th National Voter’s Day today, the meeting was organized at banjara hills Mufakam Jah College the auspices of Hyderabad District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar.

Speaking on occasion, the state CEO said that the Election Commission of India has been celebrating National Voter Day with a special slogan since 2011. He said that registered voters must exercise their right to vote and preserve the survival of democracy.

Lokesh Kumar said that every eligible person is being registered as a voter by the booth level officials and those who have completed 18 years of age should be registered as voters on April 1, July 1, and October 1, he said that the Election Commission of India has provided the ease of registration. He said that efforts are being made to register voters through a special drive in 300 education institutes. He said that everyone should participate responsibly in the elections.

This time on the occasion of national Voter’s Day announced with a unique slogan “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure”.

On this occasion, the CEO of the State Election distributed voter identity cards to the newly registered voters. (Maxim News)
