Hyderabad, May 24 (Maxim News) Deputy Chief Minister participated in the recent Central Power Ministers Conference, engaging in fruitful discussions on critical aspects of the nation’s power sector and sharing Telangana’s progress and vision. The Deputy Chief Minister discussed measures to fortify the intra-state transmission network, which is essential for supporting the growing demand and integrating diverse power sources. Plans for significant additions to transmission lines and transformation capacity in Telangana were shared. The importance of long-term planning for the transmission system, extending up to 2034-35, was also a key point of deliberation.
Strategies for improving the performance and financial health of distribution utilities were reviewed. The discussions focused on measures to reduce technical and commercial losses and ensure the financial sustainability of the sector, which is crucial for continued investment and service delivery.
The conference addressed the need to expedite the rollout of electric vehicle charging stations. The Deputy Chief Minister discussed steps being taken in Telangana to streamline the connection process for charging stations and support the growth of the state’s electric mobility ecosystem.
