DGP Appreciates Constable For Saving Youngster’s Life in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: Director General of Police, M Mahender Reddy has appreciated a constable from Karimnagar Town-I police station MA Khaleel for saving the life of a youth.
Mohammad Abdul, a youth from Bommakal, was hit by an unidentified two-wheeler while he was walking along the road in Housing Colony on Tuesday. He fell unconscious.
Constable Khaleel, who was on beat in the area, rushed to the victim and tested his pulse. On noticing that Abdul had stopped breathing, the cop provided cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment without wasting any time. Within a few minutes, Abdul started breathing.
Later, Abdul was shifted to hospital for treatment. The locals, who gathered at the spot, recorded the constable’s efforts to save the youth on their mobile phones and circulated the clip on various social media platforms.
Responding to the video through his twitter account, the DGP appreciated constable Khaleel stating: “Dear Khaleel, the way you responded to save him deserves every bit of appreciation. Keep up the excellent work”.
Commissioner of Police, VB Kamalasan Reddy felicitated Khaleel and presented him a Rs 1,000 reward.
