DGP CV Anand Asks Public to Dial 112 Over Extortion

Hyderabad, Sept. 9: Telangana DGP C V Anand has urged people to dial 112 if transgender groups allegedly try to extort money from them.

Anand said police personnel across the state have been directed to act immediately on such complaints.

The DGP was responding to a post on X about an alleged extortion incident involving a group of transgender persons.

The individual said timely police intervention helped recover the money and end the situation.

Responding to the post, Anand advised citizens to immediately contact police through 112 in similar situations.

He assured the public that police would take prompt action after receiving complaints.
