DGP Ordered IG To Investigate In Lockup Death Incident

Hyderabad, Feb 18 (Maxim News): Director General of Police, Anjani Kumar became serious about the lockup death incident in Medak district and ordered the Inspector General (IG) Chandrasekhar Reddy to carry out a complete investigation regarding the case and also directed the District Superintendent of Police to take action against Medak CI and Si who caused the incident.

Police arrested Qadir Khan from Medak town on January 29 on suspicion of chain snatching. The police kept him in the PS till February 2 and handed him over to his family members after finding that the real accused was not Qadeer khan. After that Qadir fell due to severe injuries. He died on February 16 after receiving treatment at Secunderabad Gandhi Hospital for a few days. But his family members alleged that Qadir Khan died due to police torture. Qadir khan’s wife Siddheshwari along with her children lodged a complaint at the Medak police station on Friday. Medak Town SSI Rajasekhar, Constable Pawan Kumar, alleged that Prashant had damaged his kidneys after beating her husband. The complaint stated that action should be taken against the factors.
