DGP Stresses Need To Prevent Child Labour In State

Hyderabad, Dec.20 (Maxim News): Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy today said children were turning into child laborers as they have no other option.

Addressing a meeting held at his office here on the topic of “Operation Smile”, he stressed the need to prevent child labour in the State. On the child traffickers, he said the offenders would be on high alert in the month of January and June as the Operation Smile would be held in these two months. He said there was a need to punish the child traffickers. He also said the service to the child laborers should be treated as a social service.

Principal secretary, Women & Child Welfare department Jagadiswar and other senior police officers also took part in the meeting. (Maxim News)
