Dharmapuri Arvind Questions Delay in Accepting Kavitha’s Resignation
Hyderabad, Oct. 28 (Maxim News): Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind has questioned the delay by Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy in accepting the resignation of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
Speaking to the media in Nizamabad, Arvind accused both the Chairman and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of political favoritism.
Arvind Targets Kavitha, Revanth Over Resignation Issue
Arvind alleged that though Kavitha submitted her resignation in the prescribed format, the Chairman has not yet approved it. He demanded an explanation for why the resignation was being withheld and asked whether any understanding existed between CM Revanth Reddy and Kavitha.
Citing media reports that the Chairman called Kavitha and asked her to reconsider her decision, Arvind asked, “If she has resigned in the correct format, why is the Chairman creating drama instead of approving it?”
He urged Gutta Sukhender Reddy to immediately accept the resignation, claiming that withholding it violated Supreme Court guidelines.
The BJP MP stated that his party would soon send a formal letter demanding immediate acceptance of Kavitha’s resignation.
He also alleged that “business dealings” between Kavitha and the Chief Minister were behind the delay.
Arvind further attacked Kavitha over her recent statements, saying her political frustration stemmed from being sidelined by her own family.
He accused her of diverting public attention through baseless allegations against the BJP and mocked her “Jagruthi Yatra,” questioning whether it was leading toward reform or “Tihar Jail.”
Criticizing the Kalvakuntla family, Arvind alleged that their governance hurt backward classes and students by halting BC, SC, and ST fee reimbursement schemes.
He also claimed that the Madhavanagar flyover project was stalled due to the Chief Minister’s failure to release funds. (Maxim News)
