Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News): It is known that the Bollywood film Dhurandhar, which is creating dust at the box office, is banned in West Asia. However, the Producers’ Council recently wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting his intervention in this matter. ”Dhurandhar” has been banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We request you to intervene in this matter.
“The censor board has given a certificate that it can be released anywhere.. and there are no objectionable scenes. Banning it in the above-mentioned countries is a suppression of our freedom of expression. Because it has achieved the greatest success in the history of Indian cinema,” the Indian Motion Pictures Association said.
The Producers’ Council has requested Modi to intervene in the release of the film as those Gulf countries are our friendly countries. It has requested that the authorities of those countries should hold talks and take steps to lift the ban as soon as possible to respect freedom of expression. ‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, has already become the highest-grossing Indian film released in a single language.
