The disruption affected OP services at both government hospitals, although hospital authorities initiated contingency measures to ensure that emergency and critical care services continue without interruption.

The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) said doctors were concerned about the manner in which transfers were being implemented by the state government.

Speaking on the issue, TGGDA president Dr. B. Narahari said members of OGH and Gandhi Hospital were upset over the transfer process. He clarified that the association had not formally announced a suspension of healthcare services but acknowledged that doctors at the two hospitals had decided to halt outpatient services.

Dr. Narahari said the association would hold further discussions with its members and the state government to resolve the pending issues.

On Thursday night, the TGGDA warned that it could launch a statewide suspension of medical services if the transfer process is not made transparent.

The association is demanding the full and transparent implementation of Government Order (G.O.) No. 38 and has urged the government to address concerns raised by doctors regarding transfers and postings.

Hospital managements at both institutions have taken steps to minimize inconvenience to patients and ensure that emergency medical services remain operational.
