According to party leaders, councilor Timmajipeta Pandu, Kotha Gangadhar, BRSV leader Vamshi Goud, and others were taken into preventive custody and shifted to the Nagarkurnool police station.

The BRS leaders objected to the police action and argued that they intended to submit representations to the Chief Minister on various public issues.

Despite the restrictions, a group of BRS leaders gathered at Thimmajipet mandal and staged a protest by burning an effigy of the Chief Minister. Protesters raised slogans against the Congress government and criticized what they described as undemocratic arrests and restrictions.

The leaders demanded that the state government expedite the pending works of the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS).

They alleged that the project had been neglected over the past two and a half years and described the Chief Minister’s inspection visit as an eyewash. The protesters urged the government to allocate adequate funds and complete all pending works within a fixed timeline.

Police maintained security arrangements in the area during the Chief Minister’s tour. The state government has not officially responded to the allegations made by the BRS leaders.
