Dr. Preeti case: Governor Written To VC Of KHSU, Ordered Thorough Investigation

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (Maxim News): Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan intervened in the incident of the death of Dr. Preethi in Kakatiya Medical College and wrote a letter to the Vice Chancellor of Kaloji Health Sciences University, informing him that Dr. Preethi’s death is not good.

She expressed her anger at the University authorities for giving false information about Preeti’s health and trying to protect the accused.

The Governor asked the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ordered that the accused should be severely punished.

Governor Dr. Tamil Sai Soundara Rajan has suggested strict anti-ragging measures in Medical colleges. She said that a special grievance cell should be set up for women doctors. In such incidents, without any delay, it is advised to respond immediately and take strict action against those responsible in the colleges. She wanted to install CCTV cameras in every medical college in the state and also to duty hours of PG medics and proper rest should be paid attention to. Governor Tamilisai directed a set of counseling centers for women doctors. (Maxim News)
