Hyderabad: A car driver was stabbed to death, allegedly by his nephew, at Shahalibanda on Monday night.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Mohammed Khaled, 38, of Alinagar under Shahalibanda police station limits had gone to his sister house and picked up a quarrel with them.
“The suspect, Shaik Abdul Suleiman, who was present in the house, tried to pacify him. However, his attempt failed and in a fit of rage Abdul Suleiman took a kitchen knife and stabbed Khaled,” MA Majed, ACP (Falaknuma), said.
The police shifted the victim to Osmania General Hospital, where he died while under treatment. A case under Section 302 (murder) has been booked and efforts are on to nab the suspect, who is absconding.
