Hyderabad, April 3 (Maxim News): Drug use has once again created a stir in the metropolis. Task Force Eagle Team and Cyberabad Narcotics Police jointly raided the ‘Quake Arena Pub’ in Kondapur and Gachibowli Police Station. The raids were carried out after information was received that a special party was being organized during the event of international DJ ‘Black Coffee’. Eagle Team officials said that the searches were carried out with six special teams based on prior information about the use of drugs.
64 people who attended the party were tested, and 8 of them tested positive for drugs. The police Eagle Team officials revealed that the accused have been taken into custody. They said that after the raids, all were tested using ABONN drug test kits. Four of the accused were found to have used marijuana and benzodiazepine. Another four were also found to have used marijuana and methamphetamine. With this, it was revealed that 8 people were arrested and handed over to the Gachibowli police under the Cyberabad Commissionerate for further investigation. It was stated that the Gachibowli police have registered cases against them under Sections 8(C), 27(A), and 27(B) of the NDPS-1985.
Police said that among those who took drugs were businessmen, software developers, and contractors. On the other hand, they said that artists from Spain also participated in this party. Alexander and Quake Arena DJ KV were tested for drugs and were revealed to be negative.
