Hyderabad, Sept. 28: Eight persons were arrested after police allegedly caught them transporting around 13 kg of deer meat near Raikal Toll Plaza on Sunday.
The Future City Special Operations Team (SOT) intercepted two vehicles allegedly carrying the meat. Police also seized an air gun suspected to have been used for hunting, along with the vehicles.

Police and Forest Officials Investigate Deer Meat Case
The suspects were taken to Kothur police station for questioning. Following the arrests, forest department officials were alerted and reached the station to assist with the investigation.
Police and forest officials are questioning the suspects to establish where the deer was allegedly hunted and how the meat was transported. Meanwhile, officials are examining the seized air gun and vehicles.
Kothur police said a case would be registered and the suspects would be produced before a court for further proceedings.
