Enforce Lockdown Strictly Till May 30 To Avoid Extension: DGP Tells Police Officers
Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News): DGP M Mahender Reddy today stressed need for strict implementation of the lockdown in the state till May 30.
He held at a video conference with top police officials of the state and the districts and asked them to make field level monitoring to check the lockdown and people movement to break the cases .
The DGP said that CPs, SPs and other officials should monitor and implement the lockdown and disallow the people coming out.
He instructed that after May 30 there will be no chance for further lockdown by implementing the lockdown strictly. Give sirens through the vehicles at 10 am and implement the lockdown strictly. The people are coming out of their houses after 8 am to purchase essentials causing violations of corona norms.
The government allowed petrol bunks to open in the lockdown period and we need to allow the vehicles with valid permissions and that of essential services and those as per guidelines issued the DGP said.
The government gave relaxation for four hours from 6 am to 10 am which has to be implemented strictly by taking people cooperation he said. Ensure that they come by 6 am instead to get essential commodities through awareness, Reddy said.
The DGP stated that since the chief minister announced extension of the lockdown from May 22 to 30 we need to implement the same in a strict manner. The Chief Minister is regularly reviewing the district wise lockdown situation he stated. We need to be strict and ensure that the people should not come out of their houses. As the second wave sees rise and fall of the virus and infections we need to be more cautious he said.
The district and city level police officials monitor the lockdown and levy fines and seize the vehicles of the violators. The government aims to break the chain and smooth conduct of the vaccination drive. Vehicles should not be allowed after 10 am to follow lockdown norms in colonies internal roads and main roads, he added. (Maxim News)
