Errabelli Asks Sarpanches Not To Fall Into The Trap Of BJP

Hyderabad: Keeping in view that a group of sarpanches belonging to the ruling BRS party headed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is resigning from the post due to the KCR government diverting the Central funds meant for the Gram Panchayats and also not releasing the state share since months, the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that some sarpanches are unnecessarily falling into BJP’s trap and spreading bad propaganda against the State government.

The Minister conducted a video conference with the officers and engineers of the Panchayat Raj Department, he alleged and blamed the BJP government of the Center saying that Rs. 110 crores are due from the Central government to the state. he said that the Center has withheld Rs. 1100 crores due to the state by mistaking the expenditure of Rs. 151 crores for farmers’ welfare. He said that the Sarpanches and officials should understand this matter.

Dayakar Rao said that the funds received by the Panchayats in the last eight years after the formation of Telangana state is more than what has been received 50 years earlier. The Minister said that the panchayat roads should look like mirrors and that no potholes should appear on any road even after the first rain falls during the rainy season. He said that the construction of 3,686 gram panchayat buildings sanctioned recently should be accelerated and Vaikunthadanams, natural forests, and dumping yards should be fully utilized in every village.

He asked the officers and engineers to give the list of road proposals with Rs. 5 crores to each constituency immediately. he ordered the officials to put up boards in every village panchayat with the details of the beneficiaries of the various schemes like pensions, Rythu Bandhu, (Maxim News)
