Expressing Concern Over Delimitation: Stalin Seeks Time To Meet PM Modi

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 2 (Maxim News): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is fighting the Center on the issue of delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies. Stalin has recently asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for time to submit a memo related to delimitation. He wrote a letter to Modi on 27th of last month. Stalin shared the letter on Wednesday as an ex-veda.

It is known that Stalin recently held an all-party meeting with leaders of various parties to discuss the injustice that will be done to the southern states with the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies.

Several resolutions were passed on the delimitation. Stalin said that he had sought time from Modi to provide a memo related to this. He requested that we urgently be given time to voice our concerns on this crucial issue. He said that we will await a response.

The re-division of Lok Sabha constituencies will be held in 2026. There are concerns that the procedures followed for this will harm the southern states. In a recent meeting organized by the DMK.

Stalin alleged that the population-based re-division will reduce the representation of the southern states in the formulation of laws. He said that we will remain citizens who have lost political power in our own country. On this occasion, he clarified that their protest is not against the re-division.

He said that they are demanding fair and transparent delimitation. On this occasion, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Center wants to carry out the re-division of constituencies without any negotiations, which is like a danger bell for us. (Maxim News)
