Hyderabad, May 16 (Maxim News): A fake IPS officer posting himself as NIA Additional SP was arrested by Commissioner’s Task Force personnel today.
Disclosing this to mediapersons here, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, said the accused identified as Guru Vinod of Giddalur of Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh has been posing as IPS officer holding the post of Additional Superintendent of Police of NIA and threatening the people, especially his friends and relatives.
The CP said the police seized one dummy pistol, a laptop, some fake rubber stamps in the name of NIA and six cell phones. The CP said the accused had gone to jail earlier for threatening people with fake rubber stamps. After release from the jail, the accused resumed his illegal activities and fell in the hands of Task Force personnel. (Maxim News)
