Sonia Meet With Oppn Leaders Opportunistic: Dattatraya

Hyderabad, May 16 (Maxim News): Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Thursday alleged that the proposed meeting of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi with all Opposition political parties on May 23, 2019 was pure opportunism. He also wondered as to how the political parties, which proclaimed to take on each before the elections were coming forward to join hands to ensure that Modi did not retain his PM post.

Speaking to media persons, he also talked about the tours being undertaken by the CM of the state KCR to obtain support for his federal front concept and added that the left parties were also no in a state of confusion on whom to extend their support after the elections.

Referring to the statement of senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad that they did not have any objection on whom to make the next PM of India, Dattatreya said that the statement had clearly underscores the point that the Congress party president Rahul Gandhi would not become the next PM of the country. He said that the Congress would not win more than 100 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

He also said that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was now struggling to prove his existence felt in the national politics. He also termed the tours of Telangana CM KCR was futile while noting that KCR had already lost two allies in the form of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu States. (Maxim News)
