Hyderabad, Oct 16 (Maxim News): Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of focusing on politics instead of governance. She demanded a white paper on investments in Telangana and threatened to disrupt the government’s Global Summit if it failed to provide clarity.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Kavitha alleged that companies linked to the Chief Minister’s family featured prominently in memorandums of understanding signed by the government. She asked the government to clarify the details and disclose the investments secured by the state.
Kavitha said she would remain among the people continuously for the next seven to eight months. She added that the Telangana Rakshana Sena would take up public issues and fight for solutions at the grassroots level.
Kavitha Targets Government Over Medigadda and EVMs
Kavitha criticised the government over its handling of irrigation projects. She demanded that work on the Medigadda barrage be resumed immediately and completed.
She also announced that the Telangana Rakshana Sena would field a strong candidate in the Khairatabad Assembly by-election. She said the party would announce an MLC candidate for Dasara.
Kavitha dismissed the Congress protests against the Chief Election Commissioner as “fake protests”. She alleged that the demonstrations were political drama rather than genuine efforts to improve electoral transparency.
The Telangana Rakshana Sena chief also demanded that future elections be conducted using paper ballots instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs). She argued that paper ballots would improve transparency in the democratic process.
The allegations concerning companies linked to the Chief Minister’s family were made by Kavitha. The supplied statement did not include a response from the state government. (Maxim News)
