FDP on Data Science and Machine Learning inaugurated at MANUU

Hyderabad, Oct.21 (Maxim News): Prof. S. M. Rahamatullah, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) inaugurated a 10-day Online Faculty Development Programme “Data Science And Machine Learning” on October 20, 2021 being organized by the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, MANUU and Electronics & ICT Academy, NIT, Warangal under the scheme of Electronics & ICT Academy. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India is sponsoring the FDP. The programme is being organized under the Patronage of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan.

Addressing as the chief guest of the inaugural session, Prof. S. M. Rahamatullah exchanged thoughts on Data Science and Machine Learning and pointed out at the lack of awareness among public about these latest sciences.

The guest of honour, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c while greeting the participants and appreciating the organizers emphasized on the need to exchange the knowledge among academicians across the country. He also highlighted the National Education Policy -2020 which focuses more on research activities and gives the right impetus to these kind of latest technologies.

The academicians from IITs/NITs/IIITs and Industry experts in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning are invited to deliver lectures. The faculty members from NIT Warangal will be conducting the programme in collaboration with Department of CS & IT, MANUU.

Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology, Chairman FDP, Dr. Syed Imtiyaz Hassan, Head, Department of CS&IT, MANUU, Co-Chair FDP and Dr. Bonthu Kotaiah, Assistant Professor, Department of CS & IT, MANUU, Co-ordinator-cum-Convenor also attended.

The Assistant Professors, Department of CS & IT, MANUU Geeta Pattun conducted the proceedings whereas Ms. Afrah Fathima proposed vote of thanks. (Maxim News)
