Hyderabad, June 13: Keeping eye on the target in spite of obstacles and working hard despite being tired is the only way to get success. Acquire as much knowledge as possible in your subject and not confine yourself to the curriculum only. Dr. Syed Mustafa Hashmi, MS (162 Ranker in UPSC 2021 from Hyderabad)today advised students while addressing a felicitation programme organized in his honour by School of Education and Training (SET) of MANUU. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU presided over. Dr. Mustafa Hashmi is one among top 3 Muslim candidates to clear UPSC.

He also inaugurated the one day Workshop-cum-Seminar “Leadership Development” organized by the School on this occasion. Prof. S.M. Rahmatullah, Pro Vice Chancellor was the guest of honour.

Dr. Mustafa Hashmi while sharing his journey from being a doctor by profession to UPSC, said that during his service at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, he realized that health issues are only a small part of public’s lives rather they have more serious problems and in a bid to help them solving their problems, he chose civil services as profession. Whatever you do, do it passionately and with dedication only then you might be remembered , he added.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan described Dr. Hashmi’s success as an inspiration & example for young generation.He informed that coaching for the Civil Services Examinations will resume soon at the University and the matter has already been taken up with Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. Study hard and succeed in your field, he advised students.

Prof. SM Rahmatullah in his address said Dr. Mustafa Hashmi has proved his mettle at a very young age just like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad did. Dr. Mustafa Hashmi would definitely carry out his responsibilities very well, he hoped.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Dean School of Education & Training speaking about the workshop cum seminar said leadership means taking everyone along with your ability, hard work and wisdom.

Students presented National Anthem & University Tarana under the supervision of Dr. Muzaffar Hussain Khan, Associate Professor & the Coordinator of the programme. Research Scholar, Tarana Yazdani presented special Tarana of Workshop.

Assistant Professors of the department – Dr. Shakera Parveen, introduced the guest, Dr. Rubeena convened the programme, Dr. Md. Athar Hussain, co-coordinator programme proposed vote of thanks.
