A film shoot bus crash at Hayathnagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad left the driver and members of a film crew injured early Friday. The incident occurred at Pedda Amberpet, according to police. The bus was carrying a film crew when it met with the accident during the early hours of the day. Authorities confirmed that the injured were taken to a nearby private hospital, where their condition is stable.
According to police, the bus was travelling from Visakhapatnam to Manikonda when the accident occurred. As the vehicle reached the entry point of the Pedda Amberpet flyover, the driver reportedly lost control. The bus then rammed into the road median. After that impact, it overturned, causing injuries to those on board. Police said the sequence of events is based on preliminary information available at the scene.
The driver was identified as Vijay Bhaskar Reddy. He sustained injuries in the crash. His father, Narsi Reddy, also suffered injuries in the incident. In addition, two others were hurt. Police identified them as an electrician and another crew member travelling in the bus. Following the crash, emergency response teams shifted all the injured to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Hospital sources later reported that their condition is stable.
Meanwhile, Hayathnagar police said they are examining the circumstances that led to the film shoot bus crash. Officers confirmed that the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined. Therefore, an investigation is underway to establish how the driver lost control at the flyover entry point. Police said they will review all available information as part of the inquiry.
The incident has drawn attention due to the involvement of a film crew travelling for work. However, officials have not released further details beyond the initial findings. Police reiterated that the investigation will continue until they determine the precise cause of the crash. They also confirmed that updates will be shared once the inquiry progresses further.
