The incident took place at Jaya Krishna Enclave in Hasthinapuram. Police said the woman and her son allegedly consumed an unknown poison. Later, both were found unresponsive inside the house. The case has been registered as a suspected family dispute, based on preliminary findings at the scene.

Sushmitha, aged 27, wife of Yashwanth Reddy, is believed to have first given poison to her 10 year old son, Yashwanth Nanda Reddy. After that, she allegedly consumed the poison herself.
