Mancherial, Oct. 6: A fire broke out in the dialysis room of a private hospital in Mancherial on Tuesday after an AC unit reportedly exploded.
No casualties were reported as hospital staff quickly evacuated patients from the dialysis unit. The incident caused panic among patients and their families.
The fire started after the AC machine reportedly exploded inside the dialysis room. Hospital staff immediately shifted patients to a safe location before the flames could spread.
Fire Officials Suspect Electrical Short Circuit
Firefighters from the local fire station reached the hospital after receiving information and brought the blaze under control.
Fire officials said an electrical short circuit may have caused the fire. They also suspected poor maintenance of the AC unit as a possible factor.
Property damage was estimated at around Rs 10 lakh. Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
