Secunderabad: The inauguration of Fire Service Week was held today at the Fire Brigade Section of Ordnance Factory Medak with great fervor and respect. SS Prasad, Chief General Manager, proudly hoisted the Defence Fire Service Flag, marking the commencement of the week-long observance.
The program began with a solemn offering of wreaths to the dummy fireman, paying tribute to the brave souls who have served in fire safety roles. This was followed by a moment of silence observed for two minutes in their honor.
The event also featured a demonstration of fire-fighting equipment, showcasing the latest advancements and techniques in emergency response. Attendees included Senior Officers, safety officers, and members of the Fire Brigade.

The Safety Officer, Chenna Reddy delivered a warm welcome address, setting a respectful and focused tone for the week. The Chief General Manager delivered a keynote address, emphasising the importance of fire safety, preparedness, and continuous training and released Safety Stickers and Pamphlets.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all participants and encouraging ongoing commitment to fire safety practices. Fire Service Week serves as a reminder of the critical role fire safety plays in our lives and the need for vigilance and preparedness across all sectors.
